SALT LAKE CITY — The Engineering News-Record (ENR) named Jacobsen Construction to its prestigious Top 400 Contractors list for the 22nd consecutive year, the company has announced. 

With slightly over $1 billion in revenue in the most recent calendar year, Jacobsen was ranked #131 on Engineering News-Record’s 2024 Top Contractors list. The publication also noted that Jacobsen won $450 million in new contracts in the most recent year. Overall, the firm has well over $2 billion in its future work pipeline. 

President and CEO Gary Ellis praised the work of Jacobsen’s more than 900 employee-owners for their daily contributions that allow the company to take its place among the most prolific construction companies in the United States. 

“Jacobsen’s success has always been fueled by the collective efforts of our entire team, and that dedication does not go unnoticed,” Ellis said. “I want to thank each of our people for their grit in collaborating daily with team members, clients and trade partners to solve the myriad of challenges we face together.” 

Major projects completed by Jacobsen in recent months include the Primary Children’s Hospital Larry H. & Gail Miller Family Campus in Lehi, Utah; the Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Temple; The Grandeur multi-family, mixed use development in Holladay, Utah; and more. Large ongoing projects at the company include the Salt Lake Temple & Temple Square Major Renovation; the Astra Tower in Salt Lake City, the Military Welfare & Recreation (MWR) Conference Center Hotel at Mayflower Resort near Park City, Utah; and more. 

Jacobsen, which has made the Top 400 Contractors list every year since 2003, has also been named to every ENR Top 100 Green Contractors list since 2009.
