Jacobsen Construction recently received Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Utah’s 2016 Gold Award for Achievement of Safety Excellence. The award recognizes Jacobsen as a Utah safety leader and celebrates more than one million man hours worked at an incident rate 15 percent below the national average.
“At Jacobsen, there is nothing more important than getting home safe and sound to our families every day. But we can’t just say that and expect it to happen,” explains Jacobsen President and CEO Doug Welling.” The Gold Award is a result of our employees making a personal commitment and conscious effort to ensure a safe environment for those working with us and around us.”
Contractors across North America are getting ready to kick off Safety Week 2017. We join this effort to clearly communicate our dedication to create a shared culture of caring. We see it as a great reminder to focus on safe productivity every week and every day, on every job and at every site.
“We’re honored to receive this recognition from AGC of Utah,” said Doug. “Our expert craftworkers go to great lengths to deliver fantastic work, and most importantly, keep everyone on our projects safe. This award celebrates their efforts and demonstrates Jacobsen’s continued commitment to zero harm.”
